About
L Star Murals is run by Lauren McElroy, a Philadelphia area native who lives in Los Angeles, CA. After getting her BFA from Maryland Institute, College of Art and many years working as an artist & designer for both Whole Foods and Trader Joe’s Lauren decided to launch her own design & mural company in 2012.
Lauren specializes in creating work in a variety of styles utilizing playful, contemporary ideas, dynamic layouts and thoughtful color palettes. She’s been fortunate to work with many amazing brands, clients, designers and collaborators.
Lauren leads a small team based in Los Angeles, but also loves to travel for the right projects! Slinging paint has brought her all over California and multiple cities across the country. Murals of hers have been shown on Sports Illustrated, Kitchen Nightmares, Making the Cut, Hotel Hell, People Magazine, Bar Rescue, Gordon Ramsay’s 24 Hours to Hell & Back, Real Sports with Bryant Gumbel, as well as the 2017 billboard launch for FYF Fest in LA.
Participating in mural festivals has become a new passion, after being selected for the Ladies Who Paint Mural Walk in 2019 and more recently the Eureka Street Art Festival in 2022. In 2019 Lauren was selected as the Los Angeles artist to represent ASUS Vivobook’s #WOWtheWORLD campaign in 2019 with a large commissioned mural downtown LA at 7th & Figueroa. In 2020 she worked with Target and the US Soccer Foundation for wrap-around field designs for mini soccer pitches installed throughout greater Los Angeles.
Lauren and her team pour so much heart, creativity and attention to detail into each project. Nothing makes them happier than creating beauty in the world and making friends along the way.
